What Soully can and cannot do
Soully's AI companions are designed for everyday emotional support — stress, anxiety, loneliness, sleep, and day-to-day wellbeing. They are not equipped for:
- Active suicidal ideation or self-harm situations
- Psychiatric emergencies
- Replacing a licensed therapist or psychiatrist
When Aria detects signs of serious distress, she will always surface crisis resources and encourage you to reach out to a professional. This cannot be turned off.
If you are worried about someone else
- Take it seriously — asking someone directly if they are thinking about suicide does not increase risk; it often brings relief
- Listen without judgment and stay with them if possible
- Help them call one of the helplines above or take them to the nearest emergency room
- Remove access to means if you are able to do so safely
